Here’s the idea…

Welcome to your customizable personal retreat in the outdoor mecca of Central Oregon. Where you’ll stay in an off-road camper at a dialed off-grid campsite that will serve as your base camp.

I’ll take care of all the details so that all you have to do is say ‘YES!’ and show up with well-packed backpack (packing list provided).

All-inclusive campsite staged just for you.

I’ll have everything prepped and ready based on the weather/conditions and our pre-trip conversations about your intentions and interests. Together, we’ll create an itinerary that gets you pumped.

Whether that’s a solo adventure where I help send you off (with gear, grub and a journal), or you and I go on a specific adventure together, or a little bit of both.

Either way, we’ll make it intentional, fun and tasty. You’ll walk away refreshed, centered and fully recharged.

You don’t need external advice, you want internal clarity.

  • Serial Entrepreneurs

  • New Entrepreneurs (my fav)

  • Creatives (my other fav)

  • Workaholics (me too)

  • Age: 30’s & 40’s (I’m 42)

  • Need some time outdoors

  • Feeling lonely, facing hard decisions, or looking to make some big changes in career or family life

Who it’s for:

It’s for men who are searching for a change of pace and a shift in perspective - a jolt back to life by chasing fun, adventure, stillness, calm and clarity.

It’s for men looking for experiences that will challenge and inspire, but also bring a deep sense of renewal.

It’s for men who know that something’s gotta change for them to become a better version of themselves—one with more purpose, more depth, and more connection—and want to jumpstart that process.

Practical Details:

General info:

  • I’ll take care of all the essentials (ground transportation, meals, snacks, drinks, lodging, basic recreational gear, etc.) so all you have to do is say ‘YES!’ and get out here.

  • Solo or one-on-one is the goal, but sometimes having a buddy or business partner is more helpful (especially if we’re talking in depth about your business and higher level changes). For this reason we can add a couple more fellas to this retreat if needed.

  • This trip is completely customizable to your likings (and the weather/season). We can make it chill or get the adrenaline pumping. Either way we’ll check in on the mind and body in intentional ways during our time together.

We’ll talk about what it’s like being men in this modern world, what we’re committed to and how we’re showing up. We’ll look at work/life balance and our role in shaping whatever is coming next in your life.

And we’ll explore a few bio-hacks to help boost our mental health and wellness (think breathwork, cold plunges, hot soaks, forest walks barefoot, etc) - of which, they are all optional, but encouraged. Basically it’s all just exercise for the mind - getting comfortable with the uncomfortable, trying something new, and finding calm and clarity even in the midst of chaos - that’s the goal. We’ll test your grit, and you’ll be shocked and surprised at what you’re capable of.

  • What’s included:

    • I’ll take care of all creature comforts, but do be prepared to rough it a little.

    • Lodging, meals and snacks, beverages, local transportation, basic outdoor gear for excursions (SUPs, river surf boards, hardtail mtn bike, e-bikes, etc), conversations that matter, and daily wellbeing practices.

    What’s not included:

    • Travel to/from Bend, Oregon

    • If we end up needing specific higher-end recreation gear, or different accommodation upgrades, we’ll add those later to the total cost of your trip.

  • Together, we’ll figure out the best travel plan (fly or drive) to get you to Central Oregon. Airport code: RDM

Days/Dates:

This is typically a 3 day, 2 night experience that you can book whenever is most convenient for you. These retreats are meant to be flexible with your work/home schedule (even if you only have a 48hr window away), and they are customizable to whatever will fill you back up so that you come home recharged and ready to tackle what’s next.

Generally, these three options have worked well so far for busy men such as yourself:

  • SUNDAY - TUESDAY

  • TUESDAY-THURSDAY

  • FRIDAY - SUNDAY

Experience the outdoors in comfort & style.

Here’s how this works:

You’ll have your own staged campsite ready and waiting for you with a four season off-road camper posted up at a trailhead (hike, bike, climb) or on a lake or river (fish, paddle, explore) that you will have all to yourself.

The camper is equipped with an e-fridge w/ food and cold drinks, stove, drinking water, rooftop tent, all the outdoor toys and gear, heater, hammock, camp chair, firewood or propane fire (depending on fire regulations), and a mattress, sleeping bag & pillow.

Warmer weather options:

For colder season accommodations you can choose to post up at ‘Out There Headquarters’ (my outfitter & supply shop) - which has a wood fired stove, gear and games, mini-bar, outdoor kitchen & shower, bonfire pit, camping spots outside, and has various sleeping arrangements to stay warm and cozy.

I’ve been hard at work customizing this space for optimum hang-time with the guys. It’s where we gear up for excursions and unwind after a long day of getting after it.

Colder weather options:

Everything you change changes you.

Itenerary:

  • We’ll meet in Central Oregon and it will be my pleasure to help show you around this gem of an area.

If you can arrive earlier in the day we’ll do a biking & snacking tour through my tasty town. Then we’ll get you out into the forest to find a wild (dispersed) campsite - just you, or us both. Either way we’ll have all the gear needed for the coming days packed and ready to go. It’s time for a proper adventure into the wild.

Dinner: Street Tacos, salad, chips & salsa, cerveza.

Evening hang: Sunset fire at the first campsite, s’mores, cigars, whisky, etc. and you’ll do a powerful exercise focused around your story thus far. And you’ll explore where your story might be heading next.

  • With coffee in hand it’s time to take in the sunrise from a mountain peak, a hotspring, or out on the water. Followed by a hearty breakfast while you get prepared for the first big outing - likely something fast paced and fun.

After a proper morning adventure, you’ll have a charcuterie styled lunch somewhere magical with stunning views. Where you’ll explore what’s getting in your way at work and at home.

You’ll spend the rest of the day chasing fun in the sun, doing some target practicing, and having some quiet times of reflection throughout the day to process what’s needed for your next big move in life.

We’ll get you back to Out There Base Camp (HQ) for dinner and bonfire while we continue our discussions before we head out on a nighttime adventure by headlamp.

  • A relaxing morning with coffee and breakfast at Base Camp camp before we find a quiet place in nature to reflect and create a list of actionable items so that you know exactly what to do make when you return.

You’ll feel equipped and ready for your next big move.

If time allows before your flight home we’ll go on a midday adventure (with lunch on the run), and then we are officially done.

*Although I do my very best to adhere to the schedule above, the itinerary is subject to change for numerous reasons beyond my control, including weather and terrain conditions.
