About
A remedy for modern times.
Out There offers men transformational outdoor adventures (1:1 or small group) that are intentional, impactful and truly wild.
Adventure with purpose & impact.
Adventure is the conscious practice of expanding our boundaries—both internal and external—through activities that excite the soul, energize the body and focus the mind.
Pushing ourselves—inwardly with awareness and outwardly with risk—increases our own capacity for joy, resilience, empathy, entrepreneurship and personal innovation.
Above all, adventure brings us closer to ourselves, each other, and the natural world.
I truly believe these types of experiences are the very best investment we can make in our lives and our relationships.
Disconnect to reconnect.
HERE’S THE SITUATION:
Too many men are short-changed by the speed of modern life.
Worn out, we end up taking the path of least resistance which leaves us feeling foggy, lonely, empty, and full of doubt.
Which is not how we’re meant to live.
These trips and retreats help men tap into the transformative and clarifying power of nature, adventure, fun, and meaningful connection with other courageous men.
Clear, connected, committed.
THE RESULTS YOU’RE LOOKING FOR:
Come back clear, connected and committed to what you value most.
Build the bonds of brotherhood with those who are passionate about livin’ and committed to exploring what they are capable of at work and at home (our areas of focus for campfire discussions and activities).
Laugh your ass off, tell great stories, get scratched up, test your strength, live in gratitude, find clarity, feel refreshed and ready to pour into what matters and ditch what doesn’t.
Tools & Practices.
HOW I FACILITATE GROWTH:
Real talk. Real tools. Better Mental Health & Wellness.
Trying new things and going to new places opens us up to possibility, shakes off the stupor of unhealthy habits, and energizes our imagination.
It also means we’ll explore other ways to grow, stay more present, increase awareness, question our defaults, and create new habits. These exercises/practices include breathing exercises, hot and cold water plunges, and other bio-hacks centered around clearing out the clutter and tuning more inward. And while new things are often uncomfortable at first, I promise not to make it weird.
These are non-religious, non-guru, no-nonsense, scientifically proven tools, bio-hacks and resources to help us more accurately understand who we are and find clarity in the noisy space that our mind often creates.
Adventure and nature paired with powerful, proven wellness practices can inherently change the way we move through the world. That combination changed my life and I promise it’ll make a difference in yours, too.
About me.
I’m a sportsman, outdoorsman, explorer, amateur ecologist, adventurer and coach.
Each Out There expedition (small group or 1:1) is curated, outfitted and guided by me, Gary - your outdoor Adventure Coach.
What is an Adventure Coach?
It’s a mash-up that I use to help make sense of what I do here.
You see, I’m an Outdoor Adventure Guide: curator of good vibes and outdoor experiences, and a Men’s Health & Wellness Coach: helping ambitious men find a healthier mindset & lifestyle that unlocks the best of themselves. To go from hustle to health & happiness. Inspiring men to reclaim their natural desire to explore, experiment and expand their thinking so that they value a life of purpose over achievement.
So there you have it - I’m your Adventure Coach for the journey ahead.
Basically, what it means is that we’ll get outside, find the fun, test our grit, rediscover our wonder and joy, talk about the things that matter most, and become men who are healthier and happier in mind, body and spirit.
About you.
Out There is for guys who want to make the most of life, who are seeking a path that prioritizes meaning over ease.
The truth is you don’t need more external advice, you need internal clarity. As your Adventure Guide that’s precisely what I help you discover.
It’s for men who are searching for a change of pace and a shift in perspective - a jolt back to life if you will. We’ll find the fun and adventure, but we’ll also discover stillness, calm and clarity along the way.
It’s for men looking for experiences that will challenge and inspire, but also bring a deep sense of renewal back to the natural world and to yourself. It’s about getting off the grid and out of the daily grind.
It’s for men who know that something’s gotta change for them to become a better version of themselves—one with more purpose, more depth, and more connection—and want a jumpstart on that process.
Go outside to explore inside.
