Alaska Adventure

7 days in the wilds of Alaska.

Explore the last frontier.

This 7 day all-inclusive experience is all about exploring the last wild place in the states. Full nature immersion is the goal and we’ll source most of our meals from the rivers and ocean. We’ll fish a couple days in fresh and salt water, and we’ll explore a couple days via boats, roads and floatplanes. This trip is rough and rugged, and we may very well be living in our rain gear. But no matter the weather, we’ll be getting out there and exploring this insanely wild and remote place.

We’ll have a dialed cabin with comfy beds for all, delicious food & drinks to refuel, and a warming fire each night. We’ll explore seaside towns, dramatic glaciers, fish in rivers for trout and salmon, catch your limit of halibut out at sea, and we’ll feast on seafood the entire time. Itinerary:

Nature goes with the flow - so do we.

Although I do my very best to adhere to the general schedule, the itinerary is subject to change for numerous reasons beyond my control.

    • Airport arrival by lunch

    • Enjoy the couple hour scenic drive south to Homer, AK (“the halibut capital of the world”)

    • Along the way we’ll stop for fishing licenses, short hikes or overlooks of the incredible mountain ranges we’ll drive through

    • Settle into the cabin for a relaxing dinner, tasty drinks and a good hang time around a warming fire

    • A restful morning recovering from the travel day, with coffee and breakfast at the cabin

    • Followed by a hike to a viewpoint, or a paddle (kayak or SUP) on the water. Either way we’re on the lookout for wildlife

    • For lunch we’ll explore the vibrant Homer, AK where we’ll eat and drink our way through this tasty town and take in the majestic mountain and coastal views

    • For the afternoon we’ll explore the unique Homer Spit, a long, narrow strip of land extending into Kachemak Bay where fisherman bring in the catch of the day

    • Seafood dinner on the Spit - you’ve never had better seafood than this

    • An early breakfast and coffee at the cabin

    • Head out on a full-day guided deep-sea fishing charter where we’ll catch our limit of fish

    • Halibut cookout for dinner

    • Sunset campfire hang

    • Trust me, we’ll likely need a day to shuffle either the halibut fishing or the float plane excursion b/c of weather

    • Weather moves fast and changes often in AK. It will make the final call on which days we’ll fly or get out on a boat

    • Breakfast and coffee at the cabin

    • Experience the remote Alaskan wilderness with a guided float plane fly-out adventure

    • Lunch on a remote mountain lake

    • Bear viewing, wildlife spotting, and remote stream fishing

    • This is a bucket-list activity offering unparalleled views and a true sense of Alaska's vast wilderness

    • Dinner back at the cabin

    • Breakfast and coffee at the cabin

    • Then we’ll take a boat across the bay to a remarkable place called Halibut Cove full of tiny islands, inlets and bays

    • We’ll take the day to gather/catch all the seafood ingredients we can find for a giant feast on the beach at the end of the day

    • Clams, oysters, rock fish, shrimp, seaweed, halibut and crab will be on the menu

    • We’ll eat raw and cooked seafood around a roaring fire surrounded by touring peaks that rise up from the ocean
